Step Into Another Realm
The award-winning Fantasy Medieval Fair in Mount Gambier is an immersive event for the whole family, bringing history, fantasy and spectacle together across two unforgettable days.
From the moment you enter the gates, you’re surrounded by colour, costume and sound. Pennant banners flap overhead, blacksmiths work at their forges, artisans spin and weave, horses prepare for the joust, armoured fighters clash in the arena, and lutes and pipes drift through the fairgrounds.
Wander Merchant Lane, try longbow archery, explore historical camps, discover tabletop gaming and miniature painting, or settle into the Tavern with a mead or ale while the music rolls on.
Costumes aren’t mandatory, but they are strongly encouraged. Medieval, fantasy or somewhere gloriously in between, let your imagination run wild.

Location
The Fantasy Medieval Fair is held at the Mount Gambier Showgrounds, 1 Pick Avenue, Mount Gambier, South Australia. Public access to the Fair is through the main pedestrian entrance on Pick Avenue.
Parking
Public parking is available via Gate 1 on Pick Avenue. A gold coin donation will be collected for parking by volunteers from the Royal Flying Doctor Service, with proceeds supporting their work.
Accessibility
For visitors with accessibility needs, short-term drop-off is available near the main pedestrian entrance on Pick Avenue. A reserved accessible parking area will also be available within the public carpark to provide easier access to the Fair entrance.
